Terms of Service

1. About Tenantoir

Tenantoir is a software tool that helps property owners (landlords and PG / hostel owners) manage properties, post monthly dues, collect rent online and track payments and complaints, and lets tenants see their dues, pay online and keep their history.

Tenantoir is not a landlord, tenant, broker or agent, and is not a party to any rental agreement between an owner and a tenant.

2. Eligibility and accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old to use Tenantoir.
• Provide accurate information and keep your login details confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.
• Tell us promptly at contact@tenantoir.com if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.

3. Owners and tenants

Owners are responsible for the accuracy of the properties, rent and dues they post, for the invitations they send, and for their own dealings and agreements with tenants. Owner features are available under the plans described in the Subscription Terms.

Tenants use Tenantoir free of charge to see their rent and dues, pay online, view their passbook and stay history and raise complaints. Tenants pay rent to the owner, not to Tenantoir.

4. Payments

• Online payments are processed by Razorpay. Tenants can pay by UPI, cards or net banking, subject to Razorpay's terms.
• Rent paid online is routed to the owner's own bank account. Owners must provide correct payout details, which are verified by Razorpay. Settlement is typically 2-3 business days.
• Payment receipts are sent by email to both the owner and the tenant.
• Owner subscription payments are covered by the Subscription Terms and the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use Tenantoir for anything unlawful, fraudulent or misleading, including entering false dues or payout details;
• access accounts or data that are not yours, or interfere with the security or operation of the service;
• copy, reverse engineer or resell the app, or use automated means to access it without our permission;
• upload content that is unlawful, abusive or infringes anyone's rights.

6. Your data

You keep ownership of the data you enter. You allow us to use it to run the service as described in our Privacy Policy. You can ask us to delete your account at any time, see Delete Account / Data Deletion.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep Tenantoir available and accurate, but we do not promise that it will always be uninterrupted or error free. We may change or improve features, and may update these Terms. The "Last updated" date shows the current version. Continuing to use Tenantoir after a change means you accept it.

8. Disclaimer and limit of liability

Tenantoir is provided "as is" to the extent permitted by law. We are not responsible for disputes between owners and tenants, for the accuracy of information entered by users, or for delays caused by banks, payment networks or Razorpay.

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Suspension and termination

You can stop using Tenantoir and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms or misuse the service. If an owner's subscription payment fails, access to owner features may pause as described in the Subscription Terms; tenant data is not deleted because of non-payment.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
